How to rent a dumpster FAQ

  • What if I need to change or cancel my dumpster rental order?

       

You may cancel or change an order by calling us at 855-444-2212. Please have your job address available when cancelling or making changes. All order modifications must occur a minimum of one full business day in advance of the original service date to allow for processing. A minimum cancellation fee of $50.00 will be incurred for all order cancellations per the terms of the agreement.

  • What if I fill up my trash dumpster container before I am done?

You may order an additional haul for your dumpster if needed. Additional haul charges equal to the amount of the first haul will apply.

  • Is service available within 24 hours?

Emergency Dumpsters are available on a case by case basis. Standard rates may not apply.

  • What if I need an extra haul?

  • What if the driver comes for delivery or removal of the dumpster and I am not ready for the dumpster container to be dropped or removed?

​

A trip charge will be charged for every time the driver makes an unsuccessful attempt to deliver or pick up the container.

  • Is it necessary for someone to be there when they deliver or remove my dumpster?

​

It is preferred, but not necessary, to have someone onsite for delivery or removal of the dumpster. However, please be as specific as possible when answering the delivery questions, as the driver will use their best judgment and place the dumpster in the safest accessible area when delivering the dumpster. If an onsite contact is not available for delivery, you will be responsible for all charges involved with relocation of the dumpster should it be necessary. For removal; customer agrees to provide unobstructed access to the dumpster rental equipment on the scheduled pick-up day; if the dumpster rental is inaccessible customer is subject to additional pick-up charges, as terms and conditions apply.

  • How many tons can I put in my container? 

​

Certain materials such as concrete and dirt can be very heavy and can quite possibly exceed weight limits for public roadways in your area. Heavy dumpster loads also place undue safety risks for all traffic. Before placing any of these heavier materials in any dumpster, please review the terms and conditions of your agreement and contact Dumpster Solutions at 855-444-2212 for guidance. Under no conditions should a dumpster be loaded above the fill line, even with light material.

  • Will I be billed for extra weight?

​

Yes, if your tonnage goes over the included tons quoted in your order you will be billed for the additional costs associated with that disposal per the terms of the agreement.

  • What are my payment options?

​

Dumpster Solutions accepts all major credit cards. Please have your card in front of you when placing or adding to your order.

  • What does the price include?

​

The price of a dumpster rental includes a one-time delivery, and pick-up for the selected roll off container size and the agreed upon disposal allowance plus fuel and environmental fees and taxes. All waste will be disposed of in a fully approved and licensed disposal facility.

  • Will it damage my driveway?

​

The trucks used for delivery, plus the weight of a full roll off container can be quite heavy. It is highly recommended that the customer protect any surface where the roll-off is going to be placed with a 4’ x 8’ sheet(s) of plywood. The Customer affirms that any right of way provided by customer (disclosed in delivery questions) for the roll-off container is sufficient to bear the weight of all contractors’ dumpster equipment and vehicles required to perform the contracted service. The customer assumes all liabilities for damages to private driving surfaces, pavement or road surfaces and entire roll-off container placement site. The contractor shall not be responsible for any damages to any private driving surface, pavement or accompanying subsurface of any route associated to perform the service that was contracted.

  • Can I put the roll off container on the street?

​

Please check with your local municipality. Permits are often required for dumpsters.

​

  • How large of a space do I need for delivery of the trash dumpster roll off container?

 

Please refer to the container dimensions listed on the website. It is recommended to provide space to accommodate double the amount of the width and height of the container to assure adequate height and space clearance.

  • Are there any items I cannot put into my container?

 

Yes, only solid waste items are permitted into containers. Items that are NOT permitted that are radioactive, volatile, highly flammable, explosive, biomedical, infectious, toxic or hazardous materials. No free liquids of any kind are allowed in the container. Additional requirements may apply based upon locality. Liability for appropriate waste remains with the customer as agreed to in the terms and conditions.

  • What are the unacceptable materials for roll off containers?

 

Hazardous waste, dirt, industrial waste, chemical products, oil filters, herbicides & pesticides, radioactive material, solvents, paint (except completely dried latex paint cans, no liquids), other flammable liquids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission oil/lubricating/hydraulic oil/ oil filters, contaminated oils (mixed with solvents, gasoline, etc.), antifreeze, appliances, petroleum contaminated soil/lead paint chips, tires, batteries, computers, monitors, televisions, microwaves, fluorescent tubes, railroad ties, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels, all liquids. Material must be level at the top of the container; nothing can be sticking out of the top.
